BATS 1000SM Index – Inception July 2009
The BATS 1000 Index measures the performance of 1000 U.S.-listed securities within 10 sectors based on market capitalization. It is designed to represent the performance of the large cap, mid cap, and small cap segments in the 10 Better Alternative Sector Exposure Standard (BASESSM) sectors, all of which are equally-weighted.
The BATS 1000 Index serves as a market directional index and was created to illustrate a unique perspective on current market conditions. The inception date was July 1, 2009, and the base value was 10,000. (Patent Pending)
